Amenities & Facilities
The sanctuary offers an outdoor swimming pool with a shallow end and pool/beach towels. Guests have access to a children's playground, board games, and kids' outdoor play equipment. The property also provides a shared lounge/TV area, a garden with an outdoor fireplace, picnic area, and sun terrace.
Rooms & Accommodation
Each room is named after a specific rescued Big Cat and includes digital satellite television, an en-suite bathroom, tea and coffee facilities, and electric blankets for cold evenings. The rooms offer views of LIONSROCK and the valley below. All rooms come with free WiFi and daily housekeeping, while laundry and ironing services are available on request.
Dining & Meal Plan
The on-site restaurant serves full-board accommodation with fine dining, including all meals, special diet menus, kids' meals, and wine/champagne. The bar offers fruits, packed lunches, and room service is available. The chef prepares fresh meals daily, and the restaurant is open to all guests.
Tours & Animal Experiences
A daily guided sanctuary drive tour is included in the stay, with additional enrichment tours and an exclusive tour (at extra cost) that may include a feeding tour, clinic visit, and tiger valley tour. Guests can also participate in hiking, walking tours, and a tour or class about local culture. All tours are led by knowledgeable guides from FOUR PAWS, the global animal welfare organisation that runs the sanctuary.
Location & Transportation
LIONSROCK is located 20 km from Bethlehem, with the last 13 km on a drivable gravel road. Free secure parking is available on site, and an airport shuttle can be arranged from OR Tambo International Airport. Car hire and shuttle service are also offered for guests exploring the surrounding area.
